DBD Gourmet, Inc. has been a dream in the long term making. I opened Dining by Design, catering and event services, in September of 2001, with big dreams and hopes for the future. After 5 years, many long days and nights, and countless trial and error lessons, I was able to open my first reception facility, Wellington Place, in the heart of Downtown Springfield. As most entrepreneurs, enough never quite seems to be enough. Every time I feel that all is well and things are moving great, the voice inside says to step out again. Hence came the Wellington South reception facility, our new Dining by Design offices, and what you’ve been waiting for, The Pie Box. It has been a long time dream to have my own retail carryout dessert shop. Finally I had the facility to house it. The Pie Box concept is to fill a need for quality dinner and most importantly dessert pies for carryout or delivery. Our pies are made with the best ingredients and will truly be the best pies you will ever taste. My goal is to build an impeccable local reputation for our pie shops just as we have for our catering and reception facilities, and then branch our stores into other towns across the Midwest. Customer satisfaction is truly number one with the DBD Gourmet group of companies and that has been proven time and time again in our success. God has truly blessed all we have done.
